Subject: Celebration of 18th Foundation Day of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).

🔺The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) is an apex statuary body of Government of India established under the Commissions for Protection of Child Rights (CPCR) Act, 2005.

🔺The Commission’s mandate is to ensure that all laws, policies programmes, and administrative mechanisms are in consonance with the child rights perspective, as enshrined in the constitution of India and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

🔺In addition, the Commission has the mandate under Section 109 of the Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection) of Children Act, 2015 to monitor the provisions provided under the said Act.

🔺To spread Child Right literacy under section 13(1)(h) of CPCR Act, 2005, NCPCR is initiating a competition for school students.

🔺The Competition has been divided into two groups
🔹for student of class 1st to 5th and
🔹for class 6th to 12th.

🔺This is a platform for children to empower them of their rights and entitlements. Children have to select right answer from the multiple options given under a questionnaire under different theme on Child Rights on NCPCR’s website on www.ncpcr@gov.in.

🔺After completion of response to the questionnaire, the children will get a Digital Certificate for participation.
